The Power Plant Controller is a device that monitors plant data and communicates the instantaneous operating status of the plant to the Distribution System Operator (DSO) via the IEC 61850 protocol.

It also enables active power limitation upon command from the DSO.

WHAT DOES THE CONTROLLER DO?

Plant data monitoring
Data exchange with the DSO using the IEC 61850 standard communication protocol
Regulation and control to ensure plant operation in compliance with CEI 0-16 requirements at the Point of Connection
